Imagery Play Lab
We are excited to announce our second edutainment festival for kids! This festival will be a fun-filled event with various play activities for children. From research participation, educational science, and art games to outside fun activities, there will be something for every child to enjoy.
Play Research
On the event day, children will receive ‘passports’ and engage in different tasks (e.g., creative art making, design, assembling geometrical constructors). Children will freely select and join creative activities at different play stations (e.g., tables), equipped with necessary materials (e.g., educational toys, art supplies). At each play station, children will be provided with the instructions and materials, and upon completing each task, participants will have their passports stamped. The research assistant will accompany each child and will be able to make observations. After participating in various activities at the play stations' area, children will go to our 'Prize Market’, show their passports with collected stamps, and get a gift.

Who is invited?
Children between 4 and 6 years old are welcome to participate in Play Research.
Play Research participants’ siblings and families are also welcome. You are welcome to bring all your children of any age to the festival but one of them has to participate in Play Research! All children can join our festival outdoor and other indoor activities (Toy Library, Master Classes, and Imagery Play Theatre).
How many tickets can I get?
If your child participates in Play Research, then your entire family can join the festival.
It’s required that the parent who completes the survey accompanies the participating child during the Play Research.
How to get a ticket?
Parents who complete the online survey will get tickets for their children participating in Play Research.
Other family members can also attend our festival, but all Sabanci University visitors need to give us their full names to be let in by security.
After checking the completed surveys, we will contact you, discuss the travel arrangements, and send you tickets.
Is the ticket free?
The tickets are free, but their number is limited. After getting enough completed surveys and scheduling Play Research attendance, we will close the Parents’ Survey.
Complete the online (~40 min long) Parents' Survey and give consent for child participation in Play Research. In this survey, we will ask you questions about your child (imagination characteristics, play behavior) and parental attitudes.

Child Care
For participating child:
It’s required that the parent accompanies the participating child during the Play Research, which typically lasts about 1 hour.
For other children:
If you have other children NOT participating in Play Research, you will need to arrange for another parent or guardian to watch your other children while you and your participating child participate in Play Research. We will also have friendly volunteers around, so you can get support in taking care of your children. Children not participating in Play Research can attend Toy Library, Master Classes, Imagery Play Theatre, and Outside Play activities.
Food options
We have a variety of dining places on campus for both kids and adults to enjoy during their visit. The closest cafeteria is FASShane located in the same building, very close to the festival welcome area. You can also feed your children with your own food and drinks.
Transportation
Plan your visit with ease! Transportation to the campus is provided by İETT's KM18 route and by shuttle vehicles provided by Gürsel company from different points. You can also arrive by your own car. We offer convenient parking facilities and easy-to-follow directions to our ‘Play & Learn’ Festival. Detailed information about transportation to campus will be shared with you after you complete the survey.
